Cement clinker cooler is an important part of the kiln system and has a decisive influence on the factory production performance. Good cement clinker cooler has three key indicators characterize: maximum heat recuperation, minimum cooling air flow capacity and unlimited equipments working efficiency.
From cement cooler development history, there are several cycle changes: grate coolers were first introduced by Fuller Company (USA) at around 1930. As its advanced design, the grate cooler became the main using type in the 1950's. As planetary cooler is easy to operate, in the late 1960's, the planetary cooler gained popularity which reached its peak in the 1970's.
Precalcining technical single machine has to increas production capacity, so, grate cooler get the preferred selection again. In the mid 1980's, grate cooler renew design can not only greatly improve the technology, but also has a new position among suppliers side and the new problems has already granully to slove.
Since cement equipment have life cycles of 40 years and more, each kind cement cooler type, no matter planetary, rotary or grate cooler, will remain in operation for many more years.

Cement clinker cooler has the following tasks to fulfil: through clinker and hot air heat exchange realize process internal heat recuperation, reduce clinker temperature to convenient for clinker transport and storage, provide fastest cooling velocity to avoid unfavorable clinker phases and crystal size produce.
